20 hours agoAmong Clé de Peau Beauté’s primers, this one is specifically designed to prevent makeup from breaking down. Usually, primers are either smooth but drying, or moisturizing but sticky, but this one feels smooth while still being hydrating, so the foundation I apply afterward doesn’t get dry or sticky. It does crease a little when I sweat, naturally, but the creased areas don’t set hard and keep their smooth feel, so even if I blend them out carelessly, they quickly return to a clean, even finish—in other words, it breaks down beautifully and is extremely easy to touch up. For anyone who thinks, “Using a highly moisturizing foundation or primer when it’s not dry out sounds like it’ll turn into a goopy mess, and I just can’t be bothered…” this primer has the perfect balance of smoothness and hydration! This is the primer that has held up the best out of all the ones I’ve used.
