1. Scope and Basic Principles
This Policy applies to the reviews, questions, answers, comments, profiles, requests to correct product and ingredient information, and other areas involving user participation provided by Viewduc Insight (the “Company”) through Viewduc.
- We assess compliance with the Policy, not the viewpoint expressed. Content is not deleted merely because it contains a low rating or critical opinion.
- The same standards apply to positive and negative content. False reviews favorable to a brand also violate this Policy.
- The Company does not act as a court or law enforcement agency. However, the Company may determine whether content may be posted and take measures to the extent necessary to operate the service and comply with applicable laws.
- Measures are proportionate to the severity and risk of the violation. Serious illegal conduct, threats to safety, or organized manipulation may result in immediate and stringent measures.
2. False Information, Manipulation, and Misuse of the Service
The following conduct is not permitted.
- Writing a review without actual experience using the product or presenting another person’s experience as one’s own
- Reviews written by a brand, seller, or agency, or generated in exchange for compensation provided by any of them
- Manipulating ratings, recommendations, or reports through multiple accounts, account trading, bots, automated tools, or review agencies
- Organized activity intended to disparage competing products or promote one’s own products
- Circumventing the service’s security features or usage restrictions
3. Illegal Information and Infringement of Rights
- Information whose distribution is prohibited under applicable laws
- Content that violates another person’s privacy or discloses personal information without authorization
- Content that unlawfully infringes another person’s reputation, copyrights, trademark rights, portrait rights, or other rights
- Content that promotes fraud, illegal transactions, distribution of malware, or other unlawful conduct
4. Harassment, Threats, and Hate
- Content that repeatedly insults or harasses a specific person or threatens realistic physical harm
- Content that discriminates against or incites violence or hatred toward a person or group based on characteristics such as race, nationality, region of origin, sex, disability, or age
- Seriously harmful content, including sexually exploitative material, illegally filmed material, and sexually exploitative material involving children or minors
5. Disclosure of Personal Information
Do not post personal information that does not need to be made public, such as phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses, or order and payment information. Disclosing the real name, contact information, or private communications of a dispute counterparty for purposes unrelated to using the service may also be restricted.
6. Advertising and Spam
- Commercial content unrelated to the purpose of the community, such as sales links, referral codes, promotional contact information, or repeated advertisements
- Repeated posting of identical or similar content, keyword stuffing, or manipulation of search results
- Misuse of the service through phishing links, malicious files, or abnormal automated access
7. Health and Cosmetic Information
- Content that asserts, without evidence, that a particular cosmetic product or ingredient diagnoses, treats, or prevents a disease
- Information that may create a realistic risk to health, such as inducing another user to discontinue necessary professional judgment or treatment
- Content that asserts, as though it were an objective fact and without verifiable evidence, that a particular ingredient is illegal or prohibited or causes a serious disease
You may express your personal impressions or experiences, but you must distinguish between personal experiences and objective or medical factual claims when writing.
8. Reporting Errors in Product and Ingredient Information
If you believe that Viewduc data, such as a product name, brand, size, full ingredient list, or ingredient description, is incorrect, you may use the information correction report feature. The following materials may assist with an accurate review.
- Clear photographs of the product packaging
- Official pages or official documents from the manufacturer or brand
- Reliable primary sources, such as government agencies or official databases
The company may also review the source and currency of the materials, the product version, and differences by country.
9. Submission and Review of Reports
- Users may select a reason for reporting that corresponds to the type of content and, where necessary, submit additional explanations.
- The company may comprehensively review the content itself, account activity, repeated patterns, the report, available technical signals, and submitted materials.
- Content is not automatically deleted solely because a report has been submitted.
- Where review is necessary, the company may temporarily hide the content or request additional materials from the author or reporter.
10. Reports of Rights Infringement and Interim Measures
A person who claims that their rights, such as privacy or reputation, have been infringed by publicly available information may submit a request to [email protected] including the following information.
- Contact information for the applicant or authorized representative
- The URL or content identification information that can identify the content at issue
- The right alleged to have been infringed and the specific grounds
- Where necessary, materials supporting the rights relationship or the substance of the claim
The company will review necessary measures under applicable laws, including deletion, publication of a statement of rebuttal, or temporary restriction of access. If it is difficult to immediately determine whether an infringement has occurred or a dispute between the parties is anticipated, the company may take interim measures to the extent permitted by law.
11. Types of Enforcement Actions
The Company may apply one or more of the following actions, taking into account the severity of the violation, whether it is repeated, intent, and its impact on user safety and service reliability.
- No additional action or dismissal of the report
- Masking or limiting the display of certain information, including personal information
- Temporary non-display of content or suspension of review
- Content removal
- Exclusion of the applicable review from calculations such as ratings, review counts, and rankings
- Warning or policy guidance
- Temporary restriction of specific functions, such as reviews, comments, or reports
- Temporary suspension or permanent restriction of account use
- Display of a caution notice or recalculation of related data for businesses or accounts for which organized manipulation has been confirmed
- Reporting to or cooperation with the relevant authorities, or other legal action, where required by law
12. Automated Detection and Operational Review
The Company may use rule-based or automated detection methods to identify potential policy violations, including spam, abnormal account activity, duplicate content, and review manipulation. Automated signals may be used as reference materials for operational review, and additional review procedures may be implemented for significant account actions to the extent possible.
Reviews that are not displayed or are removed due to policy violations or reliability concerns may be excluded from ratings, review counts, and related statistics.
13. Repeated Violations and Avoidance of Sanctions
Creating a new account to avoid sanctions, using another person's account, using automation tools, or repeatedly committing the same violation may be treated as separate violations and may result in stronger restrictions.
14. Appeals
If you believe that an action taken against content or an account was incorrect, you may request a re-review by contacting [email protected]. Providing the applicable content, account information, grounds for the appeal, and any necessary materials will assist with the review.
15. Amendments to the Policy
The Company may amend this Policy to address new methods of abuse, changes in laws and regulations, or changes to the Service's features. Significant changes will be announced through reasonable means, such as an in-Service notice, before they take effect.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will a negative review be immediately removed if a brand reports it?
No. Reviews are examined based on whether there has been an actual policy violation or infringement of rights, not on the identity of the reporter or whether the review is positive or negative.
Does Viewduc make the final determination as to whether the contents of a review are true?
The company is not a court or investigative agency. It determines whether content may remain posted on the service based on verifiable materials and service policies, but it is not an institution that makes a final determination of complex legal facts.
Will a review continue to be reflected in the ratings if it is hidden?
Reviews hidden or deleted due to policy violations or reliability issues may be excluded from ratings, the number of reviews, and related statistics.
The content I reported was not deleted. Why?
Content may not be deleted solely because it is offensive or because it is difficult to agree with the opinion expressed. A policy violation or grounds for infringement of rights must be confirmed.
Can I report incorrect product or ingredient information as well?
Yes. Please use the separate report function for product and ingredient information corrections, in addition to reporting reviews and comments. It is recommended that you submit verifiable supporting materials, such as package photographs, the brand's official page, or materials from a government agency.
My phone number is included in someone else's post.
Please report it as exposure of personal information. Where necessary, the company will review measures such as masking, hiding, or deleting the information.
Someone is falsely claiming that our brand is illegal.
Please submit the content at issue together with specific grounds for infringement of rights or for the claim being false, and verifiable supporting materials. Simple criticism and false claims about objective facts are reviewed separately.
Can I create a new account if my account is suspended?
Using a new account or another person's account to evade a sanction may be deemed an additional violation. Please use the appeal procedure first.
