This is a stick foundation. It has a strange texture that turns silky smooth, like you've applied powder. I bought it thinking it would be easier to use for touch-ups and less likely to break down than a cushion foundation. Since it's a stick, it's compact and easy to handle, and it glides right on. The coverage is also quite high, but it doesn't look too thick, so the finish is smooth and beautiful. However, it has a very matte texture, and since my skin tends to be dehydrated, I couldn't use it all over my face... It was pretty drying. Is it slightly more resistant to breaking down than a cushion foundation? The finish is smooth and beautiful, but so many cushion foundations also give a beautiful finish, so it's hard to say which is better... Cushion foundations give more of a glowy sheen, whereas this is super matte. I think this would suit people who like everything matte, including the finish. For me, something this matte was very drying and made me look a little older, so I only use it on specific spots when touching up. But when I use it this way, I end up thinking I might as well just use concealer. It does have a powdery texture that concealers don't, but I haven't quite been able to make it work for me, so it's mostly going unused... Also, it gets used up pretty quickly, so I thought it would be gone in no time if I used it all over my face. Personally, it made me realize once again that liquid foundation is better after all in terms of the finish, value for money, and how well it holds up. It was nice that I could quickly swipe it on one-handed without much thought when I was busy! So yeah, I feel like the situations where I'd use it are pretty limited. The key to this item is where and how you use it, and I think it would be really convenient if its concept matches what you want to use it for.
