I love this product and have repurchased it 3 or 4 times. Lately I've only been using Korean products, so I haven't gotten to use this, but when I do, my skin feels like it's filled with moisture, and it's such a good product that it makes me think, this really is the one! It's just slightly viscous, but basically very watery. It's a product that helps your skin retain more moisture, so I think it's good for people with dehydrated skin or anyone who wants to boost hydration. It's a basic product, and I think it'll probably work for a lot of people's skin.

My whole family shares and uses this at my parents' house. Above all, it's very gentle, and the best thing about it is that it absorbs gently without stinging, even when my skin is irritated or during seasons when it's prone to sensitivity. It's not sticky, but it thoroughly moisturizes all the way to the stratum corneum and helps calm my skin down. Anyone can use it comfortably regardless of age or skin type, so I think it's perfect for at-home skincare for the whole family. We plan to keep repurchasing it as a staple at my parents' house.

I use this as the first booster after washing my face. It has a gel-like texture, but it absorbs right in without feeling like it’s sitting on my skin, and the stickiness doesn’t bother me, so it’s easy to move on to the next step in my skincare routine. It feels refreshing and gives my skin a boost of hydration. It’s fragrance-free too, which is a plus. I also think it’s a great value since you get 200 ml for less than 2,000 yen! In terms of how it feels, for my combination skin that leans dry (dehydrated skin), it’s better suited for spring and summer and doesn’t feel like enough for fall and winter. Because it absorbs so well, I start to feel dry unless I apply the next skincare product fairly quickly. It doesn’t feel moisturizing enough, but I really like that it doesn’t interfere with the rest of my skincare and that it’s easy to use under makeup too!

CliniqueClarifying Lotion 1.0
An alcohol-free product you can use as a wiping toner. I like it because when I wipe my face with this before doing my skincare, I can really tell that the products absorb better. I like that it doesn't irritate my skin since it's alcohol-free. That said, it is department-store makeup pricing, so I'm using a drugstore alternative for now, but in terms of how it feels to use, the Clinique product is better.

This saved my skin when it was acting up, and I've repurchased it twice! When the seasons changed, my usual skincare routine stopped feeling like enough, and my skin started feeling parched and tight. By evening, it would get itchy and irritated, so I thought, "This is bad," and started using this when I reevaluated my skincare routine. That's when I added Matsuyama's lotion and cream. For me, this combination was really easy to use, and my skin started to calm down, so I've relied on it whenever my skin is acting up ever since. I liked the lotion so much that I've repurchased it twice. I'm usually the type who wants to try all kinds of lotions, but it's really reassuring to have something I can think, "I can use this," when my skin isn't doing well. It worked especially well for me during times when my skin was prone to dryness, tightness, and irritation, like when the seasons change. I want to keep this lotion on hand for whenever my skin acts up in the future.

MujiClear Care Light Toning Water Renewal
When my skin is acting up or feels like it's about to, I wipe it with this before doing the rest of my skincare. It's not very irritating, and when I soak a cotton pad with plenty of it and wipe my skin, I feel like redness and little bumps clear up faster. In summer, it's also nice to chill it and use it as a cotton pad mask. If you like watery toners, I think this will probably be your type too. You get a lot, so it's great that you can use it generously. It's one of the skincare products I always keep stocked.

I've repurchased this more times than I can count over the past few years. When my skin is acting up, for some reason it seems to do better if I use this as the very first step in my skincare routine, so I always use it when the seasons change. My favorite way to use it is to attach a spray head and spritz it on.

Even though it's a runny liquid, it's very moisturizing, and honestly, I think the texture would feel pretty heavy for people with oily skin, but it works really well for my combination sensitive skin, and I make sure to apply it thoroughly, especially around my U-zone and the sides of my nose where dryness bothers me!

I was drawn to how cost-effective it is and decided to give it a try The instructions say to use two pumps, but for me, two pumps is too much and one pump is just right If you apply it too thickly, people with combination skin might break out But I feel like it softens my skin and helps the next toner absorb better!! I think it's a good first pre-toner emulsion!

COSRXPropolis Synergy Toner
Before I knew it, I’d repurchased it four times. It’s a slightly viscous toner that leaves my skin feeling hydrated and plump. It is a little sticky, but personally, it’s not enough to bother me. It’s also fragrance-free, so it’s easy to use. If I generously use it for a cotton pad mask, my skin feels even more hydrated. It layers well with other serums too, so this is a toner I find myself reaching for often.

It's a watery lotion, but once you're done applying it, it feels surprisingly moisturizing. That said, it doesn't feel oily (although it's not oil-free), so I think it's great for people who don't like stickiness but still feel dryness!

JINO Moist Amino Enriched Lotion I (Moist Type) This lotion is actually from Ajinomoto, the food company! It’s a lotion focused on amino acids, and because it’s from Ajinomoto, which has been researching amino acids for many years, I think it’s the ultimate lotion! I became a fan after trying a sample at an event and have continued purchasing it ever since. As someone with rhinitis, my nose would constantly peel during the dry winter months, leaving my makeup a total mess, but ever since I started using this, my nose has gone back to normal…! It has pretty much solved the winter problem I’d been struggling with for years. It also has the nice, normal scent of a lotion, and even though it’s the moisturizing type, it feels light and smooth, so it’s very easy to use.

It’s absolutely huge, so you can use plenty without holding back💕 It feels light and leaves my skin feeling balanced, so it’s perfect for spring and summer! It wasn’t irritating, so it was easy to use as a cleansing toner too, and since there’s a separate bubble dispenser, you can refill it and use it as a bubble toner as well, so there are lots of ways to enjoy it❣️

It felt like a pretty ordinary emulsion—nothing particularly good or bad. I think it was just right for days when cream felt too heavy, but I didn’t get any particular impression that it made my skin look brighter, and it made me feel like there was no real need to go out of my way to buy an emulsion in this price range. I don’t think I’ll repurchase it once I finish it.

It’s a toner, but I don’t think it would be an exaggeration to call it a serum! The texture is very watery and not sticky, yet it’s highly moisturizing. Its absorption is amazing, and the effective ingredients—62% proprietary black koji ferment filtrate (over 470 beauty ingredients) + 37% multilayered bioliposomes—soak thoroughly into every corner of the deeper layers of the stratum corneum. When you use it right after cleansing, your skin absorbs it beautifully and completely, almost like it’s drinking it. The morning after using it at night, my skin looks plump, bouncy, and brighter! Even my wrinkles look lighter…!! I was thinking, “Wait, does my face look different…!?” I realized that this is what my skin looks like when it’s in good condition. Wow—I’m impressed。。 I think this is the kind of product that really makes you feel, “Now this is anti-aging care!” It is pricey, but I’m looking forward to seeing how much my skin changes—and whether I can maintain it—by continuing to use it, so I plan to keep going. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for anti-aging care!

ShiseidoFuture Solution LX Concentrated Brightening Softener
I LOVE the scent!! The luxurious fragrance is so soothing. The texture is slightly viscous, colorless, translucent, and fresh-feeling. It absorbs well into my skin and isn’t sticky. It contains 4MSK, a brightening ingredient (an original brightening active developed by Shiseido). This ingredient is a salicylic acid derivative and works more gently than salicylic acid. Since I usually use more brightening-focused serums and intensive serums like retinol, I felt this product was a little too mild and not quite enough for me.. But I think it’s a reassuring product that lets you brighten your skin while protecting it without putting stress on it. I love the scent and texture, so I might come back to it someday..

LancômeGenifique Lotion Ultimate
I love Lancôme’s Génifique serum, so I bought the lotion in the mini size too. I was impressed by how quickly the serum worked, but the lotion was just okay。。 Honestly, I didn’t feel like it had anything that made me think, “It has to be this one”… The serum clearly made a difference, but the lotion was pretty ordinary. The scent also feels somehow different from the serum. That said, it moisturizes normally, doesn’t irritate my skin, and is a really good, easy-to-use lotion! But considering the price, I think I’d rather try something else instead of repurchasing it. If I can’t find the best one after trying various products, I might come back to it.

This is a wipe-off serum that you soak into a cotton pad and use at the beginning of your skincare routine, which helps subsequent products like toner absorb better. I absolutely love this!! It leaves my skin feeling so refreshed and crystal-clear. Ingredient-wise, it feels like it’s basically all ethanol, but for some reason it doesn’t smell or feel that ethanol-like, and it moisturizes just the right amount without drying me out. The cool, refreshing feel is so pleasant, and it really removes dirt too. I love it so much that I absolutely want to use it in summer especially.

Three powers in one bottle of Pitera essence Booster serum, toner, and serum For bare skin without foundation It’s pricey, but after using it, I can really feel the effects! The texture is lightweight and the scent is unique, but since the amount used each time is only about the size of a 100-yen coin, it doesn’t look like it’ll run out anytime soon. After using it, I feel like my skin has become less prone to dryness and my makeup goes on better! Also, my skin texture looks more refined and my radiance has gone up. I’m looking forward to continuing to use it! I can really see why it’s been inducted into the Best Cosmetics Hall of Fame.
