CelimaxThe Real Noni Acne Bubble CleanserEvery year, I rely on this as my summer cleanser for the season. Maybe it's because of the noni? It feels cool and refreshing to use and has a fresh scent, which I like because it wakes me up and makes me feel alert on hot, groggy mornings. I have dry skin, so it's hard for me to use in fall and winter, but if you have oily skin, it seems like you could use it year-round. I like this product, but since I only use it for a limited time and it takes forever to use up, it's not like I repurchase it over and over...

BeplainMung Bean pH-Balanced Cleansing FoamThis is a face wash I make sure to use once a week. It gets rid of dirt, and when I'm bothered by clogged pores or roughness, I work up a lot of lather and gently wash my face a little longer, and it gets better. It doesn't irritate my skin either, so it's a cleansing foam I can use without worrying even when my skin is acting up. I keep a backup because I get anxious when I don't have it. It's not like it has an immediate effect on anything, but it's gentle and still cleans well, so it's a product I can keep using.

BioreOuchi de Esthe Deep Clay Facial CleanserThe cleansing power is strong, so it's great at getting rid of clogged pores and sebaceous plugs! But it also made my skin feel dry, and it stripped away so much oil that the next day's oiliness was... I moisturized thoroughly after using it and that still happened, so I think it'll only work for certain people. I won't repurchase. I think it'd be good for people with oily skin! Since it's a clay cleanser, the texture is about as thick as a firm mud mask.

CelimaxThe Real Noni Acne Bubble CleanserI've repurchased this so many times with my own money—it's a favorite! It comes out as foam, so there's no need to lather it up, and the foam is more light and fluffy than dense and bouncy. It feels slightly cooling and leaves my skin feeling refreshed, so it seems like it'd be good for people with oily skin like me 🙆♀️

MinonAmino Moist Moist Milky CleansingI repurchased this over 10 times—it was my go-to cleanser for years! I've tried all kinds of cleansers, but no matter how many times I strayed, I always ended up coming back to this one, and repurchased it over 10 times. What I liked most was how my skin felt after washing. It's a milk cleanser, and I love that my skin still feels moisturized afterward. Even during times of year when pollen or UV rays make my skin prone to stinging, it was relatively easy to use on my skin and gave me the peace of mind of knowing, "I can always go back to this for now." You can get it for around 1,500 yen, and for how it feels to use, I think it's really good value for money. I also like the simple packaging and how easy it is to keep by the sink. On the other hand, having to double cleanse is a bit of a hassle. Also, since it's a milk cleanser, I feel like it takes a little longer to work it into my makeup and emulsify compared to oil cleansers and the like. I've tried various high-end department store cleansers too, but I kept coming back to this product, thinking, "For this price, this moisturized feeling after washing is more than enough." I'm currently using a cleanser from M-mark Series while I look for something that suits me even better, but Minon was such a favorite that I used over 10 bottles of it.

BifestaMicellar Eye Makeup RemoverI've probably been repurchasing this for about 10 years! I've always used Bifesta for removing eye makeup. When I ran out, I once thought, "Maybe I can just use regular cleansing oil instead?" and gave it a try, but it didn't work for me 😂 It didn't remove my eye makeup the way I wanted, so I ended up buying this again. Of course it removes eye makeup, but I also use products like double-eyelid glue, and I love how this makes those easy to remove too. Plus, one bottle lasts me about six months and costs around 800 yen. Since it's just for point makeup, it takes forever to run out, so it's really great value too. I've been using it for about 10 years, so when I ran out this time I thought, "Maybe I'll try something different for once~" but I ended up buying the same thing again 😂 It's nothing flashy, but it's my go-to cleanser that I'd be lost without.

BioreOuchi de Esthe Gel Facial CleanserThe old packaging? wasn't listed, so I'm reviewing it here. I only have the old packaging & have backups, but it's very drying and irritating, so lately I've stopped using it frequently. When the clogged pores around my nose or the roughness on my chin bother me, I use it as a mask in the bath and it clears the clogs, but it does kind of feel like it's damaging my skin. Lately, cleansing balm gets the clogs out, so I use this as more of a rescue treatment in the summer or before my period, when I'm like, wow, my pores are super clogged.

AttenirSkin Clear Cleanse OilThis impressed me more than any other oil cleanser I've ever used! The texture is a thicker type of cleansing oil. It glides smoothly over my skin without tugging. It removes makeup thoroughly, but doesn't leave my skin feeling tight at all. I have dry skin, so I'm scared to use it every day and use it about twice a week. It also has a lovely citrus scent that's so soothing 🎶

WhippedPeach Pear Vegan Yogurt Pack CleanserIt looks cute, and I like Whipped's scrubs, so I decided to give it a try. It has a sweet scent, and the foam itself is super soft and fluffy🫧 I like how the soft foam feels like it won't irritate my skin at all when I put it on. It feels so nice to put it on my skin without lathering it first, then work it into a lather on my skin🎶

-
CelimaxThe Real Noni Acne Bubble CleanserIt comes out as foam, so it's easy to use and has become a favorite of mine. It doesn't irritate my skin or leave it feeling tight, so I think it's a face wash that's easy for anyone to use! The foam is rich and feels great too 🎶

-
WhippedMuhwabutter Vegan ScrubIt has fine scrub particles in it, and when I use it to wash my face, it removes dead skin cells and leaves my skin super smooth. Using it every day seems like it could be irritating, so I use it about once or twice a week. It doesn't make my skin sting, and there's no irritation other than from the scrub. This makes my skin super smooth, so I'll definitely repurchase when I run out!

BioreOuchi de Esthe Deep Clay Facial CleanserBought this because I wanted to take care of the pores on my nose. The first time I used it, I washed my whole face with it and the skin around my eyes got super dry, which was awful, so now I only use it on my nose and around my chin. It doesn't cause any particular irritation, so it's good for using around my nose ◎ Not sure if it's actually breaking down the pore plugs, but I feel like using it is better than not using it at all..

BeplainMung Bean pH-Balanced Cleansing FoamNeither good nor bad. It didn't have any positive or negative effect on my skin, so I think it's pretty gentle. My skin didn't feel tight at all after washing, so I think it has a convenient level of cleansing power, though it does feel slightly grainy.

FANCLSoftening Milk WashThis was the first non-foaming face wash I ever tried! I bought it with my own money to use as my morning cleanser and finished the whole bottle. Until then, I had only ever used foaming face washes, so it felt really new to just smooth the milk directly over my skin, rinse, and be done washing my face! Since I didn't have to lather it up, I used it every morning. I also like the way the runny milk glides smoothly over my skin. I have thin skin, and foaming face washes sometimes leave it feeling tight afterward, but this one didn't dry out my skin as much after washing and left it feeling soft and plump, which I liked. It was especially good during pollen season. Even when pollen made my skin bright red and my usual foaming face wash became painful to use, I could still use this. It was a huge help as a morning cleanser when my skin was acting up. After finishing one bottle, I thought, "Non-foaming face washes might actually be pretty good!" and now I'm trying all kinds of other milk and non-foaming cleansers, like IHADA. This is the product that got me hooked on non-foaming face washes.

AttenirSkin Clear Cleanse OilI've repurchased this several times, buying refills. I often cleanse in the bath, so I like that it's easy to use even if a little water gets on it. It emulsifies at just the right speed—not too fast or too slow—and is easy to use even with slightly wet hands. It provides a decent amount of pore care and can remove even fairly heavy makeup to some extent, so I recommend it for everyday use. I also like that it doesn't feel sticky after rinsing, yet it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight. It comes in different scents, so I'm happy I can choose one based on my mood or preference.

AttenirSkin Clear Cleanse OilI'm an oil cleanser person. Even among oils, I prefer thick, rich ones over runny ones, and this is definitely an oil I'd recommend to anyone who likes a thick, syrupy texture. The thickness makes it feel like it clings to the skin and really grabs onto makeup. The thickness and scent feel so nice that I don't mind taking the time to massage it around. As for removing makeup, I can't say it effortlessly removes heavier eye and lip makeup, but I think this alone is plenty for everyday makeup. I also like how my skin feels clean yet moisturized after rinsing.

AttenirSkin Clear Cleanse OilThis is my third bottle, and it's a cleanser I want to keep using forever. It has a thick texture and feels really frictionless on the skin. Foundation and heavy makeup came right off just by working it in. It emulsifies quickly too, so it's easy to use. I absolutely love the citrus scent—it has an elegant, spa-like fragrance! There's no need to double cleanse, and it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight after washing, just nicely moisturized, so I often use only Attenir for both makeup removal and cleansing. However, I haven't really noticed much of an effect on clogged pores.

NumbuzinNo.3 Bifida Bakuchiol Zero Pore Cleansing OilI bought this because I was drawn to the concept of washing with a serum formulated with fermented ingredients. It's a fairly lightweight cleansing oil. Since it isn't heavy, it glides easily over the skin. It emulsifies quickly too, which is nice. But it's hard to remove eye makeup... I use mascara remover first to loosen my mascara, then cleanse over it, but the eyeliner right along my lower lash line won't come off unless I rub quite a lot 💦 If I don't use mascara remover, even after rinsing off the cleansing oil, I have black mascara smudges under my eyes. It does remove my base makeup properly, and my skin feels moisturized without feeling tight afterward, which is nice, but... I think it's better to use a separate eye makeup remover for all your eye makeup, not just mascara remover. It says it helps care for pores too! but I haven't noticed any improvement in my pore concerns.

AttenirSkin Clear Cleanse Oil Smooth BlackThis was my first time buying cosmetics from Attenir. Since I'm really self-conscious about my pores, I'm a sucker for phrases like "eliminates pores" and "removes sebum and grime"... Even at my beauty clinic, I focus on pore care. I knew that Attenir's yellow cleansing oil was the regular one, but I bought the "Smooth Black" next to it. The results exceeded my expectations. In the morning I wash my face as usual (I use Rejuran), and at night I use this cleansing oil. It's now day 12. As you can see in the photos, the gunk in my pores is gone. When using this cleanser, I applied the gel, massaged it in well, got in the bath, left it on for about 10 minutes, then rinsed it off with lukewarm water while massaging in circles. One day, while washing my face, a sebum plug just slid right out without me even applying pressure, and I was honestly so impressed... These are the results after 12 days. The gunk is gone from my biggest pore. During those 12 days, I didn't do any pore care differently from usual besides using this cleanser. As you can see in the images (I converted them to black and white so the pores would be easy to see regardless of skin tone), there's an obvious difference in how noticeable my pores are. The difference is obvious even to the naked eye. I'm seriously amazed. The cleansing gel + light massage brought the grime to the surface. There's no need to double cleanse, it's gentle on my skin, and my skin didn't feel tight after washing. I can take care of my pores without it feeling harsh on my skin, so I want to keep repurchasing it.

AriulStress Relieving Purefull Lip And Eye Remover PadThese cleansing pads are a total lifesaver on days when I don't even feel like cleansing... 💛 I usually use them as a point makeup remover on days when I'm wearing heavy makeup. The pads are thoroughly soaked, so you don't really end up scrubbing your skin with a dry pad, which is great. For eye makeup, I first hold one against my eyelid for a few seconds to let it soak in, then wipe, and eyeshadow, eyeliner, and so on come off pretty smoothly. Even glitter and dark eyeshadow seem to come off fairly easily if you gently wipe a few times. For mascara and other especially stubborn areas, instead of trying to remove everything in one go, it comes off more cleanly if you hold the pad against the area to let the liquid soak in before wiping. What I personally appreciate most is that I can also use them for some extra cleanup on days when my makeup doesn't come off completely. If I notice any base makeup or eyeliner color left behind after cleansing, I use a pad to wipe just those areas. And most of all, they really lower the bar on days when I'm completely exhausted and genuinely can't do anything. Even when I don't have the energy to do the whole cleansing → face wash routine, I can at least bring myself to remove just my point makeup with one of these, so they're truly a rescue item. I keep these stocked as handy pads for when I just want to remove a little more, from taking off point makeup on full-makeup days to wiping away anything I missed during cleansing 💛🌼
