Cetearamidoethyldiethonium succinoyl hydrolyzed pea protein is a quaternary ammonium salt obtained by reacting succinoyl hydrolyzed pea protein with cetearamidoethyldiethylamine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling to one another, to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
