About Carnauba Acid Wax

Carnauba Acid Wax is the acidic fraction of wax obtained from the leaves of the carnauba palm.[1] Because it mainly contains fatty components obtained from the leaves of the carnauba palm, it mixes better with oils than with water. It is suitable for adding slip and a supple feel to skin or hair while reducing the feeling of moisture evaporating quickly. In cosmetics, it is used to absorb liquids such as water or oils in a formula, help formula ingredients bind together to maintain its shape, and form a thin film on the surface of skin, hair, or nails after application.[2] It is also used to adjust a formula’s viscosity and flow.[2]
