Cell Fusion CDark Spot Toning Sunscreen SPF 50+A sunscreen with a strong tone-up effect. I recently finished one, and I'm currently on my third tube. It spreads well despite the high SPF, and I like how it brightens my skin without leaving a white cast. On uneventful workdays, sometimes this is all I use for my base. Since it's sunscreen, when I wear it to work, it's creased by the time I get home. It doesn't look bad, though. It doesn't pill or flake off either, so it's easy to use and I like it.

Nature RepublicCalifornia Aloe Cooling Watery Sun Stick SPF 50+This cooling sun stick was a huge help this summer! 🧊☀️ A favorite that I used a ton this summer. I'm already on my second one◎ I'm pretty sure I bought it at PLAZA. I've seen it at drugstores too. Even though I always properly apply sunscreen to my face and arms, it's surprisingly easy to forget the back of my neck, my décolletage, and my ankles. Since it's a stick, I can quickly apply it without getting my hands dirty, so reapplying doesn't feel like such a hassle either. It's curved, so it's easy to fit along the contours of areas like my neck and arms, and all I have to do is glide it on—so easy It feels cool when applied, which is so nice in summer 🧊 I don't notice any white cast or stickiness, and even though it's moderately moisturizing, it feels smooth and dry on the surface. And I absolutely love the scent. Maybe it's an aloe scent? It's fresh, and I love it so much I could keep smelling it forever lol Maybe it's because I used it regularly this year, but I didn't notice as much sunburn as I usually do. The SPF 50+ and PA++++ are also a plus for summer use. It's easy to carry around and super convenient for reapplying. I'll probably buy it again next summer 😂☀️ Would repurchase ◎ (second one)

KwailnaraAloe Vera Moisture Aqua Soothing GelI tried this while looking for a lightweight soothing gel to use in the summer, and it was better than I expected. The texture is bouncy yet light, so it doesn't feel stuffy or heavy on the skin and leaves it feeling moisturized. It was especially nice to apply generously on hot days or when my skin felt hot from being dry. It absorbs pretty quickly too, so it wasn't overly sticky even when I applied a lot, and it felt even better and more cooling when I kept it in the fridge before using it. It was also convenient to use on dry areas like my arms and legs, not just my face. That said, it might feel a little light for anyone looking for a super rich, deeply moisturizing feel. If you're looking for a soothing gel you can apply generously without feeling weighed down, this is a decent product.

Beauty of JoseonRelief Sun Aqua-Fresh Rice + B5 SPF 50+It's incredibly refreshing and non-greasy, so it's really perfect for summer. It's so lightweight I wonder if I even put it on, so it feels great to apply. There's nothing that makes me think, "It has to be this one!" but I like that it's affordable.

D'AlbaUV Essence Waterfull Tone-Up Pink Correcting Sunscreen SPF 50+This sunscreen feels fresh and watery, spreads easily, and feels lightweight on the skin! The pink color naturally cancels out dullness and subtly brightens and tones up the skin! It doesn't leave much of a white cast, and I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a dewy finish◎ While it doesn't dry out easily, I felt like it wore off a little more easily on days when my skin was oilier😢 It's easy to use for both cool and warm undertones, but it's especially good for anyone who wants a more translucent look!✨

AstaliftD-UV Shield Tone-Up SPF 50+Astalift by Fujifilm. The shade is Rose. This has really strong sun protection. It's a must-have for summer. Even if you don't apply it every day, using this as a base on days when the UV rays are strong, when you'll be driving, or when you plan to go out keeps worries about the sun to a minimum. It barely has any tone-up effect, so I mix it with a CC cream or color corrector from another brand. If you're using it on its own, don't expect it to tone up your skin. lol But I definitely want people to use this on days when they're more concerned about sunburn than toning up their skin. If you're choosing just one base product for summer, this is the one. The downside of previous Astalift products was that they tended to break down easily, but I feel like that's been significantly improved with this one. Its adherence to the skin and how well foundation adheres to it are both satisfactory. However, the biggest selling point of this product is its UV protection, so I don't think it's particularly good at the tone-up effect I mentioned earlier or preventing dryness, which is important in fall and winter. I think you could buy one for summer and use something else in fall and winter. But I'll definitely buy it again next summer.

IopeUV Shield Sun Ampoule SPF 50+I use this as my at-home sunscreen ✌︎ Just like the name Sun Ampoule suggests, I love that it feels like an extension of my skincare routine. It feels totally stress-free to use, so I recommend it even for people who don't like sunscreen 🙂↕️ SPF50+ PA+++ It gives solid UV protection while supporting the skin barrier and being gentle on the skin—just what you'd expect from Iope! 🥹 I can use it without worrying even when my skin isn't doing so great, and it feels so good to use that I always want to have a bottle on hand, so even though it's a little pricey, I'm planning to repurchase! ☑︎No squeaky feeling ☑︎No stickiness (leaves skin moisturized and bouncy)

D'AlbaUV Essence Waterfull Tone-Up Purple Correcting Sun Cream SPF 50+It naturally brightens up my skin and is moisturizing too, so it leaves my skin feeling hydrated, and I thimk it would be good for people with dry skin. The coverage looks natural and gives a nice glow, and I think it works well with any foundation! It spreads really well, so I think the value for money is unbeatable too! 💭 It’s also great as a makeup primer, and I use this + a light dusting of powder for a no-foundation makeup look! I used it all through winter, and not once did my skin feel dry

D'AlbaUV Essence Waterfull Tone-Up Pink Correcting Sunscreen SPF 50+I use all three colors, and they feel pretty different depending on the shade! I have sensitive & thin skin, so when my skin isn't doing well, even sunscreen can sting sometimes, but this line has never irritated my skin. Cover Beige It goes on sheer, but feels like a BB cream. This one is my favorite, and I often use it when I want to do some quick makeup, but the oils start to separate as you use it, so you should shake the container well before using it T_T Purple This shade gives the biggest tone-up effect. It's the least moisturizing of the three, but it doesn't dry out my skin or anything! It can look pretty white if you apply too much. Pink Pink goes on the sheerest. It's lighter than the purple and feels more moisturizing. Since it's sheer, I use it as a makeup base or when I'm going bare-faced and just want a slight tone-up effect.

CurelIntensive Moisture Care Foundation Comfort Makeup BaseWhen my skin is irritated or after getting a skin treatment at the clinic, I mainly use this after applying the powder balm from the same brand. It has a light texture and really goes on without weighing down my skin. This is a makeup base, but it also brightens my skin tone, so when my skin is irritated, I can pretty much just lightly dust some powder over it and my makeup is done. My favorite thing is that even though it's a primer, it has pretty decent coverage.

D'AlbaUV Essence Waterfull Tone-Up Pink Correcting Sunscreen SPF 50+I have dry, dull skin, and I came across this while looking for a tone-up sunscreen primer. I love it for the following reasons, and I'm already on my third tube! ・A little goes a long way ・The texture is just right—not drying or too heavy ・Natural tone-up effect ・Just the right amount of glow Since it spreads so well, one tube lasts a long time and I tend to keep it around for quite a while, so during summer and other times when I absolutely don't want to get sunburned, I apply sunscreen first and use this as a primer. It's a versatile product that works in any season, and I think I'll keep using it!

AstaliftD-UV Shield Tone-Up SPF 50+I'll be honest. I won't repurchase this. It leaves an unbelievable white cast. Like, I looked like a ghost. People around me repeatedly pointed out that my face looked weird because it was way too white, and although I think I used about half of it, I threw it away. It's pretty expensive, so if you're considering buying it, you should think carefully. Especially if you're thinking of buying it because you want to get by with just sunscreen + powder, don't. I have a normal skin tone, and it looked awful on me. I don't think it would blend in unless you have extremely fair skin.

-
MedihealMadecassoside Airy-Fit Sun Stick SPF 50+ PA++++It's compact and wasn't bulky to carry around for reapplying, which was great! It does feel just a little dry, so I'd be happy if the texture were a bit softer! It leaves my skin super smooth after applying, and that part was amazing!

AstaliftD-UV Shield Tone-Up SPF 50+I bought this for long UVA protection during the summer. The shade I used was Rose. I didn't use this daily, only for specific occasions like summer leisure activities. It spreads easily, adheres closely to the skin, and doesn't crease easily. It has just the right amount of coverage to even out my skin, enough that I can go out wearing only this. However, I personally find that it leaves a pretty noticeable white cast, so I think of it as being specifically for UV protection rather than makeup. I tested how well it held up against sweat in the bath (see the second photo), and it is extremely durable, so I can use it with confidence. I plan to keep using it in the summer. However, outside of summer, it tends to dry out my skin type, and it sometimes caused a slight stinging sensation.

S.NATUREAqua 365 UV Sun Protective Cream SPF 50+The texture is light and smooth, so it's easy to apply. I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't like sticky products. It feels moisturizing after application. I have oily skin, so oil starts to come through after a while. It's odorless at first, but if you don't use it up soon after opening, it starts to smell bad.
-
THE LAB by blanc douxOligo Hyaluronic Acid Sun Essence SPF 50+ PA++++Since it's a sun essence, it's less oily than sunscreen, so it worked well for my combination skin! It absorbs right away, so even if I apply makeup base immediately after, it goes on really well!! There's no white cast or pilling either, so it's a great product for lightweight everyday use!

DecorteUV Comfort Airy TransparentThis sunscreen is so lightweight, it feels like you haven’t applied sunscreen at all. It has what you could call a “smooth red bean paste” texture, and is a translucent, gel-like cream. It’s truly light as air, with zero shine or stickiness, and feels super smooth. It does have some moisturizing feel, but it’s more of an oily moisturized feel rather than a watery one. Since it’s transparent, it doesn’t brighten the skin tone, but it does softly blur pores and skin texture. It leaves a slightly matte finish, too. Since it’s transparent, it’s also great that it doesn’t leave a white cast or get on your clothes or accessories! It works pretty well with makeup, doesn’t break down easily, and wears off nicely. It’s not like it’s weak against sweat, but... I feel more reassured when I apply another layer. The only thing that bothers me a little is that the scent is strong. I like the scent, so it’s fine, but since it feels like you’re not wearing sunscreen at all, I thought making the scent more subtle could have made its presence even less noticeable. Also, this smooth red bean paste texture is probably from silicone-based ingredients, so that might be a matter of personal preference. I’m the type who doesn’t mind that at all, so I like using it. I love this sunscreen because it lets me eliminate one layer of heaviness from my base makeup!

La Roche-PosayUvidea Anthelios Tone-Up Rosy SPF50+To cut to the chase, this is the best. I’ve decided I’m sticking with it for life. ①High sun protection I seriously don’t tan. I didn’t tan in Hawaii, Guam, Los Angeles, or San Francisco either. I trust it from the bottom of my heart ②It brightens the skin tone I always use ROSY, and the amount of brightening is just perfect. It brightens my skin just enough without creating too much of a color difference with my neck ③It helps reduce itching during pollen season When I go outside without any protection during pollen season, I get little red bumps and my face starts itching. But when I use this primer, it helps keep the itching under control. This primer is seriously unbelievable I always have a huge stockpile of it. I recommend buying it cheaply at outlet stores. Also, if you’re going to Korea, check out The Shilla Duty Free—you can get it for ridiculously cheap.

-
BioreUV Aqua Rich Aqua Highlight Lotion SPF 50+ PA++++I use it on my body. I especially recommend using it around the décolletage. The highlighting effect makes it look really beautiful. I don’t think you need to use it all over your body, but definitely apply this sunscreen to your décolletage.

Clé de Peau BeautéUV Protective Cream SPF 50+I think this is the pinnacle of sunscreens! It’s moderately firm and spreads well, but it doesn’t keep spreading loosely forever—it adheres evenly and snugly. It barely feels like sunscreen at all. It feels more like a cream you apply as the last step of your skincare routine. It isn’t sticky or shiny, and it’s resistant to sweat, so it seems suitable for both summer and winter. It applies evenly and doesn’t crease or get patchy as time passes, so I feel like it really does prevent tanning properly. I also use KANEBO’s Veil of Day and Cosme Decorté’s Airy Transparent, but I feel like Clé de Peau’s sunscreen prevents tanning the best. Veil of Day has a slightly runny texture and seemed weak against sweat, making me feel like I might tan, but I don’t have that concern with Clé de Peau’s sunscreen (though they’re not really comparable since the prices are about twice as different). *I’ve included a summary of my thoughts on the three department-store sunscreens I own in the image. It also seems good as a makeup primer. The pale pink texture turns transparent when applied, so it doesn’t brighten the skin tone, but it helps makeup adhere and gives a beautiful finish. So far, I haven’t experienced any pilling either. The downside is that it’s expensive.. But I did feel that expensive sunscreens really are different in their own way. There’s genuinely none of that tight, squeaky feeling you get with sunscreen.. Another thing that bothered me a little was the scent. Why does it smell citrusy..?? That was the only part that left me puzzled. I really would have preferred a floral scent.. But I felt that this sunscreen really does prevent tanning, so I think I’ll make an effort to repurchase it!
