I was using it hoping it would help with dullness. The serum is yellow, so it's hard to use in the morning. When I apply it at night and wipe it off with a toner pad in the morning, the pad turns yellow—that's how strong the color is. I don't like that it leaves color behind, so I probably won't repurchase.

COSRX

Advanced The Vitamin C 23 Serum

This is my third bottle. Since they reformulated it, that distinctive canned tuna smell is gone👏 It feels pretty oily and sticky, so I only use it at night. It tingles every time. I feel like my skin looks brighter, but I can't really tell if it's doing anything for my pores. I keep repurchasing it because it's one of the more affordable high-concentration vitamin C serums.

COSRX

The Vitamin C 13 Serum

I had been using COSRX C23 for a while, but this one is cheaper, so I thought I'd give C13 a try and see if it worked... and bought this one for now. It didn't feel very oily, and the stickiness wasn't enough to bother me. There were some days when it tingled a little, but the irritation was never so strong that I couldn't use it. The canned tuna smell hasn't bothered me since the reformulation either! It was lightweight and easy to use in the morning too. There were times when my dullness seemed to fade and my skin looked brighter, but I didn't notice anything like my pores getting smaller or less noticeable.

Sekkisei Brightening Essence Lotion

It feels so nice on my skin when I chill it in the fridge before using it! I liked how it felt better with a cotton pad than with my hands🎶 Since it's so lightweight, it might not be moisturizing enough for people with dry skin. When it's not enough, I layer a different toner on top!

Obagi

Neo C25 Vitamin C Serum

This is a high-concentration vitamin C serum. I've kept using it to prevent dark spots. I've tried a lot of vitamin C serums, but I like the quality of this one and how well it absorbs. It has an oily texture, but it's also nice how it sinks right in. I can definitely tell that it's effective at preventing dark spots. As for making them lighter... it doesn't seem like it has... But I think it does a really good job of preventing dark spots while I'm using it. It's the best product for dark spot prevention. Honestly, I also think the cheaper, more affordable Melano CC might be good enough. I think consistency is the most important thing, and Obagi 25 is a little too expensive for me, so I'm not sure if I can keep using it... If I could afford to keep using it, Obagi 25 would be the best, though. Also, this isn't limited to Obagi 25 and applies to vitamin C products in general, but the higher the concentration, the more residue it leaves on your skin if you don't properly wash it off. It's clear when you apply it, but after a few hours it oxidizes and turns a yellowish to pinkish color. Quite a bit of that color stays behind if you don't remove it thoroughly with cleanser... Since Obagi 25 has a high concentration, the color after applying it bothered me quite a bit. It also stains the collars of white clothes, so I thought that's something you need to be careful about... As far as effectiveness goes, it's an incredibly excellent and reliable serum, but it seems like it needs to be handled with care.

COSRX

Advanced The Vitamin C 23 Serum

This is my second bottle. It was reformulated once, and I don't really notice the distinctive smell that used to bother me anymore. Since it's a vitamin serum, it can sometimes feel a little tingly and irritating depending on the condition of your skin. Among vitamin C derivative serums, it's a good value and I recommend it. When I use it, my pores feel tighter. I recommend using it in the morning. It took me about three months to finish one bottle, but starting around the second month, I gradually began to notice the color changing due to oxidation. It seems best to use a generous amount and finish it as soon as possible.

Keana Beaute VC15 Essence

I don't like skincare products that feel very sticky, and this one was extremely sticky, so I'm sorry to say I threw it away. I want a vitamin C serum to have a light, non-sticky texture.

Sekkisei Brightening Essence Lotion

Anyway, it's a lightweight, watery lotion that's easy to use in summer, and if you put it in the fridge, it feels cool and is even nicer to use. Since it's the type of liquid that doesn't interfere with makeup, I recommend it before applying makeup. It has a distinctive scent too, and I like it. It doesn't feel moisturizing, but I somehow feel like my skin calms down when I use it. As for the brightening effect, I've gone through about three bottles, but I couldn't really tell. Using it gives me peace of mind, so I use it in the morning, and I think I'll keep repurchasing it.

Numbuzin

No.5 Glutathione TXA Advanced Dark Spot Ampoule Concentrate

I've repurchased this more than 5 times. It's a serum with 10% tranexamic acid + glutathione. The unusual first step is dissolving the included glutathione powder into the tranexamic acid solution. That keeps it fresh, and I like that I can use it without worrying about oxidation. According to the official guidance, it seems ideal to use it up within 2 weeks. There's only 10 ml of liquid, so it's gone in no time.. It has a very watery texture, so it absorbs really well and leaves my skin feeling plump. It can feel a little too plump and sticky, but it settles in over time, so it doesn't bother me that much. I've been using it regularly for about a year because I feel like it's effective at preventing melasma. It also seems to brighten dullness, and I do feel like it's working somehow. Since it has 10% tranexamic acid, it's a little on the irritating side, but you don't get much product and it's affordably priced, so I think it's perfect for anyone who wants to try brightening with tranexamic acid. Personally, there have been a lot of high-concentration tranexamic acid products coming out lately, so I think I'll try those next and eventually settle on one. Also, the cap comes off very easily, so if you put it in a pouch or something, you have to handle it very carefully or the cap could come off and the liquid could leak out.. I'd appreciate it if it had a screw cap instead..

Re:dence

Tone & Spot Corrector Ampoule

I’ve been consistently using the Re:dence Tone & Spot Corrector Ampoule because I was concerned about dark spots and acne marks. The formula is lightweight and moisturizing, so it was great for daily use, and I liked how it absorbed into my skin with a fresh, non-sticky finish. It was especially good for focusing on areas where dark spots were a concern, and the generous size meant I could apply it generously without worrying! I’m going to keep using it to care for both my dull skin tone and dark spot marks✨

Age-R Glutathione Glow Serum

I used it every day and it was gone in a month. It spreads really well, so one drop (one full dropper) is enough, and the scent is unique, but I liked it. Citrus? It had a kind of calming smell. I used it for brightening care, but there wasn't really anything in particular that stood out to me.

CNP Laboratory

Derma Answer Brightening Booster TXA-PDRN Ampoule

I use it twice a day, morning and evening. I’m on my third bottle—it’s a repurchase. I always make sure to include tranexamic acid and niacinamide in my skincare routine, and before this, I had been using Medicube’s tranexamic acid (5%) + niacinamide (10%) serum for a long time. That one is cheaper, but when this CNP product was newly released in the summer, I started choosing it because it had a higher concentration of tranexamic acid at 10%, plus 10% niacinamide and PDRN, so it felt like getting three beneficial ingredients in one. This serum doesn’t directly lighten dark spots or melasma, but I do feel like it’s helping prevent them. I can definitely feel that the 10% tranexamic acid is helping with prevention. Since it also contains high concentrations of niacinamide and PDRN, it seems like it should help with firmness and radiance too. The texture is rich and bouncy, so it moisturizes well too. That said, I would have liked it even more if it were a little more lightweight.. The Medicube one was very watery and left zero stickiness. This one feels bouncy, but that also means some stickiness remains. So I use it later in my skincare routine. If it were more lightweight, I could use it earlier and probably help it absorb even better, but.. Still, since I can get high-concentration tranexamic acid, niacinamide, and PDRN all in this one bottle, I figure it’s fine and have continued using it. It’s a little more expensive than Medicube, but since it packs all the ingredients I want into one bottle, the value isn’t bad either. Personally, I’m very satisfied with this product.

Derma Answer Brightening Booster TXA-PDRN Ampoule

It was quite irritating, so I couldn’t use it on my sensitive skin. After using it once, my skin turned bright red and started stinging, so I had to wash it off right away. I think people who can tolerate this will be able to get beautiful skin.

Tone & Spot Corrector Ampoule

It was going absolutely viral and I’d been curious about it, so I gave it a try ♡ I used it morning and night, and it was easy to use since it didn’t sting or feel irritating, and wasn’t sticky either ◎ It had a rich, lotion-like texture and felt like it blended easily into my skin. A serum called the “eraser ampoule” ✨ with 5% niacinamide, said to target dark spots, dullness, hyperpigmentation, and more. I continued using it, but honestly, I didn’t really notice much of an effect on my dark spots or dullness…🥲 It felt nice to use, so I was a little disappointed since I’d been expecting more. It might be good for anyone looking for a gentle, easy-to-use serum, but I won’t be repurchasing it 🥲

Decorte

Hydra Clarity Brightening Essence Water

I used to use Decorte’s Hydra Clarity Medicated Treatment Essence Water, but this time I switched to the brightening type♡ The texture is light and watery, and it feels like it sinks right into my skin. I don’t like anything sticky, so I really love how lightweight it feels◎ My skin is prone to breakouts, but so far it’s been calm and easy to use. It also helps prevent dark spots and freckles, so I’m planning to keep using it as part of my UV protection going forward✨ Compared to the previous Hydra Clarity, the scent is a little stronger, but it’s a lovely floral fragrance, and I liked it🌸 It moisturizes while also helping improve skin clarity, so it’s a great product for anyone whose skin is prone to breakouts but who still wants brightening care!

Torriden

Cellmazing Brightening Ampoule

I liked how the sheet mask I bought at a convenience store felt on my skin, so I bought the ampoule too! I feel like it helps with dullness and pores. It’s vitamin C-based, but it doesn’t sting at all, so it’s easy to use. If anything, I felt like it worked better when I used the sheet mask, so it might be better to use it with a mask that you soak with toner yourself or with toner pads to really let it absorb into your skin?

Kiehl's

Clearly Corrective Dark Spot Solution

A serum that’s been selling well for ages! The product that made me fall in love with Kiehl's ♡ ･As I keep using it, I get the feeling that it leads to a smoother-looking complexion with a clear, radiant glow✨ ･The scent is also so soothing and lovely The scent of natural lavender oil ･The balance between hydration and freshness is just perfect, making it easy to use in any season✨ I love the silky, slightly runny texture ･I feel like the redness from my acne scars has become less noticeable※This is just my personal impression ･I used it up once and took a break for a while, but during that time there was a period when my skin just didn’t feel quite settled, and it made me realize again that this serum really is a good match for me✨
