This is a high-concentration serum with 15% azelaic acid + cica. Personally, this Anua serum wasn't that great for me. It feels a little sticky, and I like a smooth, non-sticky finish, so that was disappointing. You could call it moisturizing, but I apply a moisturizer afterward, so I'm not looking for hydration from azelaic acid.. What I expect from azelaic acid products is “dark spot prevention,” “acne prevention,” and “prevention of skin irritation (soothing).” Since it's highly concentrated, I expected it to be effective for those things, but the stickiness also felt a little itchy, so it didn't really suit me. It also contains cica ingredients, but I didn't notice anything in particular from them.. Honestly, I thought it would be fine without them. By the way, it didn't crystallize while I was using it. Medicube crystallizes pretty heavily, so it gets powdery. I actually like that powdery feel, so Medicube wins for me (maybe that's an unusual preference..).

I seriously love this ampoule 😍 I've already gone through about five bottles?! There are other lines too, but this Madagascar Centella Ampoule is for people with "sensitive skin." I use it when my skin is acting up or when I get acne. It's gentle—or rather, there's practically no irritation—and it makes my skin smooth. The texture is watery and not sticky, so I think it's easy to use before bed or in the morning.

I actually bought this by mistake thinking it was the Hyalu-Cica First Ampoule, but now it might be my favorite SKIN1004 product🌟 It's a slightly gel-like serum with a bouncy texture, and it sinks right into my skin◎ Maybe it's super hydrating, because every time I wash my face the next morning, I'm amazed by how smooth my skin feels🎶🎶 My skin does get dry, but moisturizing with oils makes me break out, so I'm really grateful for a hydrating skincare product like this that makes my skin texture feel this refined🪄︎︎🫧‪

I’ve kept using it at a pace of about one bottle every 1.5 months. It’s basically my go-to product that calms my skin down no matter what. It’s moisturizing enough, but what I notice most is its soothing effect. When my skin feels tingly or rough during seasonal changes, or when I don’t want to layer too many products, this one bottle helps me out. I like the Centella TECA Ampoule too, but I like this one better.

I’m not really sure if it calms breakouts or noticeably improves skin texture, but it’s definitely gentle. I used it often when my skin barrier was compromised, and it didn’t sting at all. It’s so mild that I think it would also be nice to use as a hydrating serum every day. There’s a lot of product, so it’s fine to apply several layers.
