About Zinc Thiosalicylate
Zinc Thiosalicylate is an ingredient in the form of a salt in which an acid and a base are paired.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formulation ingredients caused by reactions with oxygen, to smooth and condition hair by reducing tangling and roughness, and to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth.[3] In Europe, it may be used at up to 1% based on the zinc content of the finished product.[2]
