About Zinc Glucoheptonate
Zinc Glucoheptonate is a mixture of the zinc salts of alpha- and beta-glucoheptanoic acid.[1] Its solubility and charge state vary depending on the salt-forming components and the acidity of the formulation, which also affects how it interacts with other raw materials. In cosmetics, it is used to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth.[3] In Europe, it may be used at up to 1% based on the zinc content of the finished product.[2]
