Zinc Dibutyldithiocarbamate is a salt-form ingredient in which an acid and a base are paired.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms and slow the oxidation of formulation ingredients caused by reactions with oxygen.[3] In Europe, it may be used at up to 1% based on the zinc content of the finished product.[2]
