About Zinc Ascorbate Hydroxide

Zinc Ascorbate Hydroxide is a raw material obtained by reacting zinc chloride neutralized with ascorbic acid and sodium hydroxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair and leave it feeling soft and manageable, smooth and soften the skin’s surface, and protect the skin from external factors.[3] It is also used to reduce changes to products and formula ingredients caused by ultraviolet radiation.[3] In Europe, it may be used at up to 1% based on the zinc content of the finished product.[2]
