About Xylobiose
Xylobiose is a disaccharide consisting of 2 moles of xylose linked by -1, -4 bonds.[1] The moisture and spreadability of finished products formulated with Xylobiose may vary depending on the use concentration and the combination of moisturizing and emollient ingredients used with it. In cosmetics, it is used to attract moisture to the formulation and skin’s surface to help maintain hydration, and to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
