About Velutin
Velutin is an organic compound with hydroxyl groups attached at positions 5 and 7 of a flavone structure.[1] The oxidative stability of a finished product containing Velutin is affected not only by the formulation concentration but also by the other ingredients used, the packaging, and storage conditions involving exposure to light and air. In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formula ingredients through reaction with oxygen and to lighten color in the hair or skin.[2]
