About Urea Peroxide
Urea Peroxide is a small organic compound that interacts well with water.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to cause reactions that oxidize other ingredients.[4] In Europe, it may be used in hair products, provided that the amount present or released as hydrogen peroxide in the finished product does not exceed 12% (40 volumes).[2] As it is described as a solid, its solubility in water and oil should be checked first so that it can be dissolved or dispersed in the appropriate phase to help create a uniform formulation.[3]
