Undeceth-11 is a polyethylene glycol ether of undecyl alcohol with an average n value of 11.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction and add a smooth feel to skin or hair, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly blended, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
