About Trona

Trona is a mineral composed mainly of Na3(CO3)(HCO3)·2(H2O).[1] The oxidative stability of a finished product containing trona is affected not only by the concentration but also by the ingredients used together, the packaging method, and storage conditions involving exposure to light and air. In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reactions with oxygen and to help protect the skin from external factors.[2]
