About Tris-Biphenyl Triazine
Tris-Biphenyl Triazine is a heterocyclic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce changes to products and formula ingredients caused by ultraviolet radiation.[2] It is added for UV-protection purposes and is used to absorb and reflect UV radiation, reducing the amount that reaches the skin.[2] In Europe, up to 10% is permitted when used as a UV filter.[3] However, only nanomaterials meeting specified purity, crystal form, particle size, and coating criteria are permitted, and the purity must be at least 98%.[3]
