About Trideceth-6
Trideceth-6 is the polyethylene glycol ether of tridecyl alcohol.[1] The number 6 at the end of the name refers to the average number of ethylene oxide units added; it changes the balance between the water-loving and oil-loving parts, resulting in differences in cleansing power, emulsifying ability, and sensory feel. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so that raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
