About Trideceth-20

Trideceth-20 is the polyethylene glycol ether of tridecyl alcohol.[1] The number 20 at the end of the name refers to the average number of ethylene oxide units added. It changes the balance between water-loving and oil-loving parts, resulting in differences in cleansing power, emulsifying ability, and sensory feel. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water and to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
