About Trideceth-15

Trideceth-15 is the polyethylene glycol ether of tridecyl alcohol.[1] The number 15 at the end of the name refers to the average number of ethylene oxide units added and changes the balance between water-attracting and oil-attracting portions, resulting in differences in cleansing power, emulsifying ability, and sensory feel. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
