Tri-C12-15 Alketh-8 Phosphate is a complex mixture of triesters of synthetic C12-15 ethoxylated alcohols with an average of 8 moles of ethylene oxide and phosphoric acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and help sebum and impurities rinse away with water.[2]
