About Toluene
Toluene is an aromatic compound.[1] The oxidative stability of finished products containing toluene is affected not only by the use concentration, but also by the other ingredients used, the packaging, and storage conditions involving exposure to light and air. In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formula ingredients through reactions with oxygen and to dissolve other raw materials to create a uniform formulation.[3] In Europe, it may be used at up to 25% in adult nail products.[2]
