Tocophereth-50 is a polyethylene glycol ether of tocopherol with an average ethoxylation value of 50.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reaction with oxygen, leave the skin surface soft and smooth, and lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
