About Thuja Occidentalis Leaf Oil

Thuja Occidentalis Leaf Oil is an oil obtained from the leaves of Thuja occidentalis.[1] Volatile components obtained from the leaves contribute to the first impression of the fragrance and the lingering scent after application, and tend to evaporate more readily than ordinary vegetable oils. In cosmetics, it is used to prevent the characteristic odor or taste of a raw material from becoming overly prominent, to add fragrance or adjust the characteristic odor of raw materials, and to leave the skin or hair feeling fresh and well-groomed.[3] In Europe, only raw materials with a peroxide value below 10 mmol/L may be used.[2]
