About Thuja Occidentalis Leaf Extract
Thuja Occidentalis Leaf Extract is an ingredient extracted from thuja leaves.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reaction with oxygen, lighten color in hair or skin, and reduce tangling and roughness in hair to leave it feeling soft.[3] It is also used to add fragrance to a product or adjust an ingredient's characteristic odor, and to leave the skin's surface feeling soft and smooth.[3] In Europe, only ingredients with a peroxide value below 10 mmol/L may be used.[2]
