About Thiosalicylic Acid
Thiosalicylic acid is an aromatic acid.[1] The oxidative stability of a finished product containing thiosalicylic acid is affected not only by the concentration used but also by the other ingredients, packaging, and storage conditions involving exposure to light and air. In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formula ingredients through reactions with oxygen, soften hardened dead skin so it can shed more easily, and cause reactions that reduce other ingredients.[2]
