Terephthalylidene Dicamphor Sulfonic Acid is an organic compound with a terpene-based structure commonly found in plants.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help reduce changes to products and formula ingredients caused by ultraviolet radiation, and to absorb or reflect ultraviolet radiation to reduce the amount reaching the skin.[3] In Europe, it is permitted at up to 10% (based on acid content) when used as a UV-filtering ingredient.[2]
