About Tea-PCA

TEA-PCA is a salt of PCA and triethanolamine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to draw moisture into the formula and skin surface to help maintain hydration, to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth, and to protect the skin from external factors.[3] In Europe, the maximum concentration is 2.5% in leave-on products; no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. In addition, nitrosamines must not exceed 50 μg/kg.[2]
