About Tea-Oleoyl Sarcosinate
Tea-Oleoyl Sarcosinate is the triethanolamine salt of oleoyl sarcosine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, and to form foam during use.[3] It is also used to reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother grooming and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the maximum level is 2.5% in leave-on products, with no separate maximum concentration specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no higher than 50 μg/kg.[2]
