About Tea-Lauroyl Sarcosinate

Tea-Lauroyl Sarcosinate is the triethanolamine salt of lauroyl sarcosine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling together, help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, and form foam during use.[3] It is also used to reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother grooming, and to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the maximum concentration is 2.5% in leave-on products, while no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
