About Tea-Lauroyl/Myristoyl Aspartate

TEA-Lauroyl/Myristoyl Aspartate is the triethanolamine salt of a substituted amino acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities be rinsed away with water, to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair and leave it softly conditioned, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, it may be used at up to 2.5% in leave-on products; no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no higher than 50 μg/kg.[2]
