About Tea-Lauroyl Methylaminopropionate

TEA-Lauroyl Methylaminopropionate is the triethanolamine salt of the lauric acid amide of N-methyl-β-alanine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities be rinsed away with water and to lower surface tension so that raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the maximum concentration is 2.5% in leave-on products, while no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
