About Tea-Lauroyl Methyl Beta-Alaninate
Tea-Lauroyl Methyl Beta-Alaninate is an ester in which parts derived from an acid and an alcohol are bonded.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[1] In Europe, the maximum level is 2.5% in leave-on products, with no separate maximum concentration specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no higher than 50 μg/kg.[2]
