About Tea-Lauroyl Glutamate
TEA-Lauroyl Glutamate is the triethanolamine salt of the lauric acid amide of glutamic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother manageability, and lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the maximum concentration is 2.5% in leave-on products, while no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
