About Tea-Laneth-5 Sulfate
Tea-Laneth-5 Sulfate is the triethanolamine salt of the sulfate ester of Laneth-5.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, leave the skin feeling soft and smooth, and reduce surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the maximum concentration is 2.5% in leave-on products, with no separate maximum concentration specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
