About Tea-EDTA

Tea-EDTA is the triethanolamine salt of EDTA.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to bind metal ions and reduce their effects on color, fragrance, and formula stability.[3] In Europe, it may be used at up to 2.5% in leave-on products; no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
