About Tea-Carbomer

Tea-Carbomer is the triethanolamine salt of carbomer.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to give liquid formulas a gel-like form and viscosity and to control the viscosity and flow of the formula.[3] In Europe, the maximum concentration is 2.5% in leave-on products, while no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
