About Tea-Caprylate
Tea-Caprylate is an ester formed by combining parts derived from an acid and an alcohol.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce hair tangling and roughness for smooth manageability.[1] In Europe, the maximum concentration is 2.5% in leave-on products, with no separate maximum concentration set for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
