About Tea-C12-13 Alkyl Sulfate

Tea-C12-13 Alkyl Sulfate is the triethanolamine salt of the sulfate of C12-13 alcohols.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, form foam during use, and reduce surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the maximum concentration is 2.5% in leave-on products, with no separate maximum concentration specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
