About Tea-C12-13 Alketh-3 Sulfate
Tea-C12-13 Alketh-3 Sulfate is the triethanolamine salt of the sulfate ester of C12-13 Alketh-3.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[3] In Europe, the maximum concentration is 2.5% in leave-on products, while no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
