About Tea-C11-15 Pareth Sulfate

Tea-C11-15 Pareth Sulfate is the triethanolamine salt of the sulfate ester of an ethoxylated synthetic C11-15 fatty alcohol mixture containing 1 mole of ethylene oxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the maximum level is 2.5% in leave-on products, while no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
