About Tea-C11-15 Alkyl Sulfate

TEA-C11-15 Alkyl Sulfate is the triethanolamine salt of the sulfate ester of a mixture of synthetic C11-15 fatty alcohols.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, it is limited to 2.5% in leave-on products, while no separate maximum concentration is specified for rinse-off products. Nitrosamines must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
