About Tallowamidopropylamine Oxide

Tallowamidopropylamine Oxide is a tertiary amine oxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling to one another, to help sebum and impurities be washed away with water, and to increase the amount of foam and help prevent it from collapsing easily.[2] It is also used to reduce tangling and roughness in hair for smoother manageability, to help ingredients that are poorly soluble in water disperse more evenly in the aqueous phase, and to reduce surface tension so that raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
