About Tallowamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine
Tallowamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine is a zwitterion (inner salt).[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling together, help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, and increase the amount of foam and help it last longer.[2] It is also used to reduce tangling and roughness for smoother, more manageable hair, leave the skin feeling soft and smooth, and lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] It is used to adjust the viscosity and flow of formulations.[2]
