About Tallowamidopropyl Betaine
Tallowamidopropyl Betaine is a zwitterion (inner salt).[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities be washed away with water, to increase the amount of foam and keep it from collapsing easily, and to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for smooth conditioning.[2] It is also used to leave the skin's surface feeling soft and smooth, to lower surface tension so that raw materials can become wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to adjust the viscosity and flow of the formula.[2]
