About Tallowamide Mea
Tallowamide MEA is a mixture of the ethanolamides of tallow fatty acids.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling to one another, to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly blended, and to prevent the emulsified mixture of water and oil from separating easily.[2] It is also used to increase the amount of foam and help prevent it from collapsing easily, to reduce surface tension so that raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to control the viscosity and flow of formulations.[2]
