About Tallow Acid

Tallow Acid is a mixture of fatty acids derived from tallow.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, and to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2] It is also used to replenish an oily feel to the skin or hair after cleansing, to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth, and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
